“যার জিপিএ/সিজিপিএ যত ভালো, সে তত ভালো স্টুডেন্ট”- এ একটা কন্সেপ্ট স্টুডেন্ট লাইফে যতটা ভোগায়, অন্য কিছু এতটা ভোগায় বলে মনে হয়না। ক্লাশ ওয়ান থেকে রোল ১ আর ভার্সিটিতে ফার্স্ট/সেকেন্ড হওয়া। দুনিয়ার কিছু আর ছেলে/মেয়ে পারুক বা না পারুক, একটা ভাল সিজিপিএ লাগবেই। যদি রেজাল্ট খারাপ থাকে কিন্তু অন্য ৫ টা অসাধারণ স্কিল থাকে কারো, তাও সে ওই খারাপ স্টুডেন্টই। কন্সেপ্টটা অদ্ভুত লাগে আমার কাছে! আমার জিন্দেগীতে মনে হয়নি যে শুধু সিজিপিএ একজন মানুষের মেধা-যোগ্যতাকে বিচার করতে পারে।
মাঝে মাঝেই কম সিজিপিএ থাকা মানুষজন এমন করুণভাবে টেক্সট করে যে তার লাইফ শেষ কারণ ভাল রেজাল্ট নেই। ভাইরে, এক রেজাল্ট আপনার লাইফ/ক্যারিয়ার ঠিক করতে পারেনা। হাজার পথ খোলা আছে অনেক কিছু করার। জাস্ট খুজে বের করতে হবে।
এবার একটু আলাপ করি সিজিপিএ উচ্চ-শিক্ষায় কিভাবে দেখা হয়। এটা সত্যি যে এখানে একটা মিনিমাম সিজিপিএ রিকুয়ারমেন্ট থাকে কিন্তু সেটা ৩ এর বেশি নয়। এখন যদি এর কম থাকে তাহলে কি হবেনা? হবে, এবং অনেকের ফান্ডিং হয়েছে। যদি ভালো থাকে, প্লাস পয়েন্ট। যারা একাডেমিয়াতে ক্যারিয়ার গড়তে চায় বা টপ র্যাংকড ভার্সিটি টার্গেট করে, তাহলে সিজিপিএ ভালো রাখা লাগে। এছাড়া আর কোথাও এ মেধা মূল্যায়নের একমাত্র জিনিসের তেমন কোন ব্যবহার দেখিনি। তাই, উচ্চ-শিক্ষায় ও অবারিত সুযোগ আছে লো-সিজি ধারীদের।
আমার মটো ছিল/আছে- মডারেটর রেজাল্ট রাখো, এরপর স্কিল ডেভেলপমেন্ট বা নেক্সট স্টেপ নিয়ে সময় দাও, পরিবার/আত্মীয়দের সময় দাও, এক্সট্রাকারিকুলার করো, ঘুরে দেশ দুনিয়া দেখো, প্যাশন থাকলে পেছনে ছোট, সমাজের উন্নয়নে কাজ করো, স্পিরিচুয়াল হও আর নিজেকে একজন মানুষ হিসেবে গড়ে তোল। আহ, ভার্সিটি লাইফে অনেক চিলে থাকতাম এসব করেই। রেজাল্ট যা মাথায় ছিল, তেমনই আসছে আর বিদেশে কেউ কারও সিজিপিএ জানিতে চাহিয়া লজ্জা দেয় না!
এই বেশ ভাল আছি! এক পার্ফেক্ট ৪ পেতে একটা মানুষ অনেক কিছু মিস করে ফেলে লাইফ থেকে আর যখন বুঝে,তখন আফসোস করে। এটা আমার কথা না, এক ৪ পাওয়া বন্ধুর কথা। এ্যানিওয়ে, যা বলতে চাচ্ছিলাম সেটা হলো, শুধু সিজিপিএ এর পেছনে না দৌড়িয়ে ও জীবনটায় অসাধারণ কিছু করা যায় আর কম সিজিপিএ ধারীরা অযোগ্য নাহ। এরা বিশাল বিশাল কাজ করে জীবনে। মানুষ লেজেন্ডারী পর্যায়ে যায় কোন একাডেমিক সার্টিফিকেট ছাড়া। তাহলে একটা সিজিপিএ বা জিপিএ খারাপ হলে লাইফরে অর্থহীণ মনে করার কিছু নেই আসলে। হাজারো রাস্তা খোলা আছে যেগুলায় এক্সপ্লোর করে শিখরে উঠতে এ রাজাল্টের কাজ নেই। খুঁজে বের করাই হল আসল কাজ।
